Coronavirus Update #14

Tuesday, August 10, 2021

Hi everyone,

As we are seeing a steady rise in COVID cases in San Diego (and throughout the country) and with variants present that permit the virus to spread more easily, we wanted to send everyone some updated information about COVID protocols. Our state licensing regulations and County protocol require us to continue to do weekly in person visits with our families (for now at least), however, we are going to do everything possible to protect our children, families, and staff from unnecessary risk/exposure. Please read the following thoroughly:

  1. All of our CCMs will be wearing N95 masks during all home visits with families.
  2. Home visits are to be outdoors as much as possible and may be very brief. We realize the summer heat makes this difficult so there may be times where the visit to the home is only a few minutes and further case discussion/support is provided via phone or virtual visit time.
  3. Please wear a facial covering during your CCM’s home visit. We understand this may feel like an inconvenience to do at your own home, but it is the best way we have to ensure optimal safety for everyone, particularly considering our CCMs are constantly moving from home to home on a daily/weekly basis.
  4. For visits to our office or parent/family visitation that occurs within our office, all of the same safety protocol that has been in place shall remain.
  5. Please let your CCM know if you or anyone in your home is ill before a scheduled visit. If anyone is showing signs or symptoms of illness we will replace our in person visit with a virtual one.
  6. If anyone in your home has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID, let your CCM know as well as this may be a reason to do a virtual visit instead of an in person one as well.
  7. If anyone who lives in your home has tested positive for COVID, you must alert ANGELS ASAP. This is crucial as there is reporting protocol on our end that we have to adhere to in this situation.
