Dear Angels Families,
Here are some additional updates/guidance for Resource Parents in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. From now on I will only include new updates to you all, so you don’t have to sift through the old information. You can always access previous updates here (PJ add link) if you missed anything. San Diego has officially moved out of the tier system and cases continue to decline.
Home Visits
- We have moved back to doing regular IN PERSON visits. We will continue to utilize safety precautions (masks, social distancing, outdoor visits when possible). If there is concern about safety for our families/kids/CCMs based on symptoms of illness or exposure to COVID, we will supplement our weekly visit requirement with “virtual” home visits.
Parent/Family Visitation
- Most parent/family visits are currently being done in person. If parent/family members are NOT vaccinated they must continue to wear masks. If so, this requirement is not necessary.
- The Angels office continues to be open for visits and we can add a few more now. We are providing the space on a case-by-case basis with safety and necessity in mind. Angels is still requiring mask-wearing for all within our office space, regardless of vaccination status. If you think you might need to utilize the visit space at Angels, please talk to your CCM about this and we can advise further.
- County offices and Family Visitation Centers are open.
Juvenile Court/attorneys
- Juvenile court hearings (August 2nd) and trials (July 1st) are returning to in person for all clients and counsel. I believe there will still be an option for certain parties to attend virtually.
- If you are interested in being "present" for a virtual court date, please inform your CCM or PSW.
CFTs
- CFTs will continue to be held virtually via video or telephone
Services
- Behavioral health services will continue to be provided using telehealth. Some mental health providers (FFAST) may transition to in-person behavioral health services on a case-by-case basis.
Support for our Families
- We will be starting to conduct a mix of virtual and in-person support groups and trainings at this time, so keep a lookout for these! Unfortunately, we won't be able to bring back child care during trainings/support groups until children are able to be vaccinated.
Again, if you need anything, please always check in with your CCM or me and we will see what we can do to help.
